Books to gift yourself and everyone else you love

Hi friends!

I set out a major goal of reading 50 books this year and I want you in on the good action by giving you some recommendations on some of the best I read this year.

A major goal to me who last year read 30 and the year before that read about 5. This year I really committed to learning and growth and absorbing all that spoke to me.

I'll be sharing a full list of my 2018 reads soon but for now I wanted to give you some recommendations for you to gift yourself and everyone else you love <3

For some 21st century dose of self growth

You are a Badass and You are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero

I love to recommend these books to everyone. Particularly great for someone entering the self growth world, no dosage of wowo but packed with steps to get you moving. Great for a student and someone who likes to be inspired. This book was great when I needed a reset.

And then the Making Money edition will also blow your mind and help shift your mindset from scarcity to abundance.

For levelling up in your career

Playing Big by Tara Mohr and The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks

I read both of these fairly close to each other and I found many similarities just spoken in different voices. Sometimes we can hear the same thing over and over until we hear it from a voice that feels familiar to ours or one we can resonate with and then it just - Clicks.

For learning how to manifest

The Power by Rhonda Byrne

I read and listened to this book over 3 times this year. Not twice but thrice, while I had set a goal of reading 50 books I read and reread this one THRICE. I hope that establishes how great I found this book to be at providing lots of examples on how to manifest. If you read or watched the Secret and like me found it to be a bit superficial this book is so much better!

For just another great read

Tiny beautiful things by Cheryl Strayed

Or for the people who have everything and you do not know what to gift them. At first I was going to recommend Becoming Michelle Obama's new book but chances are if they're into reading really great books they will already have a copy :)

So I'll recommend Tiny Beautiful Things. I recommend this book as it helps develop softer, gentler, more compassionate answers for a lot of big topics. It's short and sweet and every story will help you love other humans a bit more.
